Prepare for the worst
You are you're own first responder. Preparation and planning make a difference. A stoppage is not a likely occurrence with well made and maintained firearms but, the consequences of not being prepared to correct a malfunction are high, and type 3 malfunctions are the worst.
Realistic Training
Until now, training for type 3 malfunctions has been artificial. Creating the stoppage manually and starting without actually experiencing the malfunction is not how it's going to happen. That's all changed with the Malfunction Training Round. The Malfunction Training Round is designed to cause an interruption in the firearms cycle of operation by causing a failure to feed malfunction (type 3) that requires intervention by the user to correct in order to return the firearm to an operational state.
